She's back for more!

Hey friends. Sadie is back and better than ever.  Ashley will probably add a bunch of pics to our site tomorrow.  Here are some pics from her recent events:
This was a weird day..

She must look like someone, but we can't quite say who...
check out the poll at the top of the page for a chance to win great prizes.
(psych about the prizes)

Self-explanatory.

On a different topic, we have enjoyed chatting with some family members online.  In fact, cade and kristi got skyped recently.  good for them.  I will just remind all you olsens (and ricks and bucks) of he parable of the ten virgins.  I hope you are all wise enough to download software oil into your cyberlamps (see my previous post).  Olsens--out!

One month for Sadie

Well, Olsens, I hate to be the only one blogging anymore.  It saddens me that people of the olsen blood and heritage have turned their collective back on technology.  Did Mary Ann Darrow Richardson give up when things got tough?  Did Oliver Finch shy away from the task at hand? No they didn't, nor will I.  In fact, this post serves first as a reminder and possibly a warning:  prepare to get Skyped, Olsens.  Webcam or not, got to www.skype.com and download the software (it's safe).  Let me just say, you will be glad you did.  All will be revealed, Olsens.  So download and standby.  A special nod to Greg and Andrea, Mom and Dad, Danny, and Uncle John who already got skype.  In the words of President Hinckley, enough has been said about this topic.
Now, more importantly: as many of you know, today is Sadie's one-month birthday.  To commemorate, we did a little post on our little blog.  Go ahead, check it out!

Our Funny Valentine

I just wanted to show you guys what a thoughtful valentine Sadie made for me (with Ashley's help, probably). What a little sweetie. Also, you should be informed that she gained a little weight between her 2 and 3 week check-ups. On her 3 week birthday she weighed exactly 8 lbs 10 oz. Wow. I don't know about you, but I am quite impressed at a gain of a pound a week. Unless, of course, this continues through toddler years into mid-childhood...that equates to a 300 lb six-year-old. Not our Sadie.

Anyway, we had a great Valentines day and hope that all Olsens everywhere did as well. I have been having some long days at school lately, but at least I am doing more patient work and I feel like it's more real dentistry. Kind of. We always look forward to the end of the day when we come home to be a family together. Here are some more pics of Sadie. In one you can see her little chins that come from a healthy appetite. The others are just cute.

If you strive for blogging excellence

A brief last-minute tutorial before we close down the DSL waves for the night. Ashley made me aware of a little trick that makes posts go from blah to Ahhh. It's called "embedded links", and with a little practice, you can direct your readers wherever you want. You can find the tutorial here. See, that was an example. It's so fun an easy to direct your fans and followers wherever you want. Anyone can do it. Anyway, kind of fun. And I hear everbody's doing it.

Introducing...

Ok bloggers..

You thought my cyber day was up. You thought I was busy painting nurseries and changing diapers. You thought I was giving foot-rubs and 3 AM bottles. You all thought I was gone for good. Me, the original. Me who all the young bloggers wanna be like. Me, who kept you all updated week in and week out. Me, who taught mom how to put pictures onto the computer. Me, who nursed this blog until it became the top-clicking, hardest-hitting Olsen blog on the web. LOOK WHO'S BACK IN CYBERTOWN!

just kidding. thought I'd try an in-yo'-face intro. Anyway, Sadie is here by popular demand, thus I am back to the blog, also by popular demand, and I couldn't be more pleased with all the informative and light-hearted posts that are popping up like wheat grass. Great job, Olsens. and oh, the comments! wonderful.

I'm sure you have all been well-informed by checking our personal blog (that our scattered friends also have access to) and have seen Sadie's pics. Well, for a baby she sure is cute. But also, since she is a baby, we have a hard time capturing her true self and glorious persona in cold, unfeeling photos. So here are a couple more, but just wait till you meet her! Heidi should like the fact that we finally decided to dress our daughter.

A few other thoughts:

1) "Sadie" is one letter away from an awesome name for a pet or a cookie: sandie!

2) After a brief falling away, the glory days of olsens (and ricks and bucks) in provo will return as cade, kristi, kelli, heidi, jarom, and mer are BABTE (back and better than ever).

3) I think we should all support Jeannette by requesting Seth to be our facebook friend, in a flood of Olsen cyber-network fellowship. Can you imagine!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Cave Tradition

Thanks Kristi, for that fabulous montage of snowcave pics. Here are a few more to add to it. They were taken several years apart, but they further illustrate the point that "Olsens love Snow Caves!" Also, thank you Kurt for being a part of the blog once again.

Snowyos dayos

Last Monday, Cade and I had a fabulous snow day. Cade didnt go to his classes and I didnt go to work. We built a giant snow cave for a long time. I was dead tired when we were done. It was so awesome. If you ever want to have a snow day, I say do it. Everyone loves a snowcave. Even mom came in and enjoyed the fun. The only drawbacks is that Cade will probably lose his scholarship to BYU and I got fired from my job. psych, it was a fun day with no negative consequences. we are still planning on going to BYU and I am still employed at the impact.
ps, the chili cookoff was great. mer had a great chili, thanks to mark and smash i hear. i'll post pics later.
