Katherine cut the middle finger of both hands....
She was "going to sleep" one night and she was reaching down between her wall and her bed to get something. She felt a piece of glass and thought it was a toy fish. When her finger hurt, she reached down with the other hand, when that finger hurt, she reached over to her nightstand and got her flashlight (which also had blood on it) to shine the light down to see what was there...
a few months before, the girls' light fixture had fallen and broken (they weren't in the room, luckily) and this was a rogue piece of glass that I guess we never found. Its actually quite big!
